Washington DC

Here are some more Washington pics. I am back home now and will be able to post some pics of the trip periodically. There are so many monuments in Washington and they all are so much bigger when you see them in person. Pictures don't do it justice at all.
Arlington Cemetery was amazing and sad at the same time. Remembering all of the thousands of lives that were given for the cause of liberty and freedom.

This huge flag was at the head of the Memorial Day parade.

The Marine Corps band was amazing...and I'm not saying that just because two of my brothers are x-marines:)

The subway was way fun...it was also a relief from the Washington heat that was scorching all day.

Iwo Jima was an amazing monument. It was huge when you get up close to it!

This Jackson monument stands in front of the White House.

The Potomac River was really cool to look across to see the different monuments. There is the Washington Monument on the left and the Jefferson Memorial on the right.
More pics coming next week sometime...hopefully I will be able to start volunteering at the Animal Shelter soon, that would be so awesomely fun! Lol!
