The Bridge Builder

This is probably one of my favorite poems ever.
What do you think the message
is?

THE BRIDGE BUILDER

An old man, going a lone highway,
Came at the evening cold and gray,
To a chasm, vast and deep and wide,
Through which was flowing a sullen tide.
The old man crossed in the twilight dim-
That sullen stream had no fears for him;
But he turned, when he reached the other side,
And built a bridge to span the tide.

"Old man," said a fellow pilgrim near,
"You are wasting strength in building here.
Your journey will end with the ending day;
You never again must pass this way.
You have crossed the chasm, deep and wide,
Why build you the bridge at the eventide?"

The builder lifted his old gray head.
"Good friend, in the path I have come," he said,
"There followeth after me today
A youth whose feet must pass this way.
This chasm that has been naught to me
To that fair-haired youth may a pitfall be.
He, too, must cross in the twilight dim;
Good friend, I am building the bridge for
him."

Ice Fog

I know they don't look like fog, but it was a good pic anyway.

I think this is my best one. What do you think.

It was so pretty outside, but kind of cold
so Anna and I didn't stay out as long as we would have liked to.

I thought this one was kind of cool cause of the Awalts house in the background.

Painting At Dan and Rebecca's

Sarah, are you going to squish your dad?

Ohhhh Anna, you were a naughty girl.

I think this is a very good pic Hannah.
What do you think--'A blessing in Disguise.'

"Who are you?"

"Samuel gave me a kiss!!!"

"I am trying to smile"

"Is there something on my face?"

You are a good painter Hannah.

Rolling Primer is a messy job.

Ecclesiastes 7:9

I came across this verse in my devotion time this morning and it really encouraged me. I get angry lots of times at my siblings and even at my parents, even though I don't show it. God gave me this verse just at the right time.

" Be not hasty in thy spirit to be angry: for anger resteth in the bosom of fools."

When I keep my anger built up inside of me, I am a fool in God's eyes. I need to deal with it and pray to God to help me conquer it. Should we keep anger towards a person hidden in our hearts? Should we even show our anger outwardly towards that person? What should we do when anger builds up inside of us? I hope this verse encourages you as much as it has me to ...be not hasty...to be angry.
